Carolyn Hines

Carolyn Long Hines of Gun Barrel City, Texas went to be with our   Lord on January 27, 2017.  She passed away peacefully with her loving husband Jack by her side.  Carolyn was born into the home of Sammy Carl and Rosie Pearl Long on December 22, 1943 joining a  family that included brothers Sammy Jr, Bill, Robert and Ronnie and sisters Cheryl and Deborah.

In 1962 she married her husband of 54 years Jack L Hines Sr.  They were blessed with five children, Jo Lynn Herrin and her husband  Randy, Sidney Campbell and her husband Allen, Bobby Ragon Jr, Jack Hines Jr and his wife Nani, and Vicki Rich.  She was also blessed with eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Carolyn loved reading, cooking, and trips to the Red River with her  family. She leaves a legacy of love and family being cherished with her passing.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father Sammy Carl Long, mother Rosie Pearl Ewing, Stepfather Taddie Ewing, brother Sammy Long Jr, and daughter Vicki Rich.

Left to cherish Carolyn's memory are her husband, children, brothers and sisters, and a host of family and friends. She was greatly loved by her family including her beloved dogs.

Andrew Roberson will be officiating her memorial service for her loving family.
