Billy James McCall

Billy James McCall, 58, passed away on August 24, 2021, in Athens, Texas.  He was born on October 29, 1962, in Texarkana, Texas, to Joseph McCall, Sr. and Shirley Ann McCall.

Billy was a hard worker.  He worked at several different jobs during his life; he did roofing, mowed pastures, but he was best known as "The Tire Man.”  When he wasn’t working he enjoyed dancing, shooting pool, and fishing.  Billy was a good brother, father, grandfather, and friend.  He loved his daughter and grandkids more than anything else.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter Mindy Ragan and husband Cecil; grandchildren Kacie McCall, Kaleb Ragan, Kaylee Ragan, and Kaydee Ragan; sisters Sheila Evans and husband Mike, Marla McCall, and Cindy Stampley and husband Tyrone.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Joseph Wesley McCall.

Jonathan Lilley with Caring Hearts Hospice will officiate for the McCall family.
