Billie Lee Forrester

On a beautiful Tuesday evening, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend completed her earthly journey surrounded by her family.

Billie Lee Sorrells Forrester was born on April 4, 1947, to William Thatcher Sorrells and Maudie Faye Sorrells in Dallas and joined family members in heaven on December 29, 2020.

Billie was a rare combination of someone who had a love for life and a firm understanding of what was important. She was quick-witted, direct, and 100% all heart. You never had to guess where you stood with Billie. She loved hard and had a loyalty to her family that was unmatched. She inspired loyalty and earned the same. Her big smile and distinctive laugh will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

Billie was always a phone call away and would be there for her family whenever needed, especially for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Billie enjoyed working in her yard, taking her great-grandchildren to the dollar store and the movies, and spoiling her beloved Yorkies – Blondie and Tilly.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents William and Maudie Sorrells, her husband, Earl Forrester, sister Doris Sorrells, and brother William Sorrells.

She was Baptist by faith. Billie will be deeply missed by her family and friends. It was an honor to know her and to know her love. She left a legacy of strength, courage, integrity, and love.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Lisa Lawrence and husband Keith, Stephanie Davis, and Jasun Lopez and girlfriend Laurie. Adopted children Terry Lee Yates and Jesse Milliron. Brother Toby Sorrells and wife Tami. Sisters: Brenda Followwell and Jeanne Sorrells. Grandchildren: Chris Lawrence and wife Cassie, Ashley Conner and husband Dustin, Ryan Lawrence, Magen Davis, Dylan Brashar, Cash Brashar, Brittney Tallent, and Laney Lopez. Great-grandchildren: Colbie Jones, Caden Lawrence, Braxton Taber, Kylin Smith, Brandon Wallace, Abigaile Jones, Callie Lawrence, Harper Lawrence, Eliot Conner, Willow Lawrence, Kain Lawrence, Charleston Conner, Beckham Conner, and Morgan Goodnight. Best friend, Jo Ellen Scarbrough, and multiple nieces, nephews, and friends.
