Barbara Rouse

Barbara Carol Rouse, age 79, passed away on June 23, 2026, in Kemp, Texas. She was born on February 19, 1947, in Dallas, Texas.

Barbara grew up in Missouri. She moved to Texas with her mom when she was a teenager and became a true Texan. She graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in 1965. Barbara married Marty Pouse, the love of her life, in 1975 and enjoyed 42 years together.

Barbara worked many years and retired from Southwestern Bell. She re-entered the workforce and worked for Southwest Airlines as a reservationist. Barbara and Marty moved to Cedar Creek Lake and remained there for the rest of her life.

Barbara loved the 4th of July. She always hosted gatherings in celebration of the holiday. Family will always remember all of the events she enjoyed hosting.

Barbara is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Stormy Rouse and Debbie Rouse; cousins, Linda Bryant, Gary and Anette Hulsey, and Greg and Kim Byrd, as well as numerous family, friends, and loved ones.
