Allen Elbert Parmenter III, 74, passed away on March 26, 2024, in Eustace, Texas. He was born on May 27, 1949, in Lansing, Michigan, to parents Allen Parmenter II and Mary (Hill) Parmenter.

Allen, a man of deep knowledge, humor, and unwavering love for his family, was known for his sharp wit and extensive knowledge of the world, American history, and politics. He was a diehard Republican with a knack for sharing a good joke and bringing smiles to those around him. His love for his family knew no bounds, as he was a dedicated father, and grandfather. Allen was truly a "ride or die" for his family, especially his girls.

In his free time Allen indulged in various hobbies that brought him joy. He relished the simple pleasures of a nice steak and good cigars. An avid reader with a particular interest in war history, Allen was also a collector of stamps, guns, and coins. As a member of a Harley Davidson riding club, he found exhilaration on the open road. He enjoyed gathering around bonfires with loved ones, as well as boating on the lake; he would take the kids on tube rides and try to flip them or make them fly! Allen enjoyed watching YouTube, particularly police chases and airplane crashes. He also spent countless hours playing World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy video games.

Cooking brought Allen immense joy, especially when preparing his signature lasagna for his family while eating his favorite treat, chocolate chip cookies. He found solace in building model airplanes from scratch and creating fond memories like making an ice-skating rink for his children in Michigan. Projects such as building houses from the ground up became a recent source of fulfillment for him. Allen's kind and gentlemanly demeanor endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He took pride in imparting valuable life lessons to his grandchildren through etiquette teachings inspired by Emily Post. His warm and accepting nature created a loving environment where everyone felt cherished.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Allen Parmenter II and Mary Parmenter; and his brother, John H. Parmenter.
